He wants only the government to have guns and he secretly wants the people to be defenseless. Some say the President displays either ignorance or outright hostility to the real purpose of the Second Amendment. Let’s face it; the founders needed no permission to hunt.
You do not have to be a Constitutional scholar, however, to know that the Second Amendment is not about hunting or target practice. It is about self-protection and the ability of the citizenry to resist an oppressive government. One can define an oppressive government as a government that takes from the producers and gives to the non-producers. So, which way do you think our redistributive President really stands on the Second Amendment?
I live in a state that is pro-gun period. Its staunch pro-gun attitude is reflected by the fact that Pennsylvania leads the nation in National Rifle Association (NRA) memberships. Yet many Pennsylvanians for their own reasons are still misty eyed over the hope and change message and may again be ready to support Obama even though if he can, he will take Annie’s guns and their guns. Ask the NRA!
The War on Coal:
Obama is a victim of his own history. We all can remember in his 2008 campaign, his famous line was that his policies would “shut down coal plants.” Pennsylvanians, West Virginians, Tennesseans, and Virginians and those from other coal states are taking this message very seriously in 2012. You can travel Pennsylvania for example and see the signs: “Stop the War on Coal – Fire Obama.” Pennsylvanians mean it!
In September 2012, the U.S. House of Representatives put a national spotlight on the issue with its passage of the “Stop the War on Coal Act.” Obama hates coal and his hostility to coal is expected to be more politically more toxic than any potentially bad chemical in coal itself. President Obama forgot that the people earning their living in coal country are not interested in becoming wards of the state. Obama promised miners that he would bankrupt their employers, and he has been using the EPA as best he can to keep that promise. It is not just the coal miners that Obama is hurting, it’s all the people in Appalachian counties in Virginia, and other major coal producing states.
This real war on coal is sponsored by the EPA and Obama since they chose to skirt around the Constitution and separation of powers. Without Obama, this will not stand. The fact that Obama is destroying their industry has not been ignored by coal miners. Yet, thinking he can convince us all into going his way on coal, Obama has a new trick going on in the battleground state of Ohio. However, the miners are not falling for it.
With so many hours spent in darkness, some suggest that miners can tell, simply by voice inflection, whether somebody is telling the truth or lying. So, the miners got together with the media / press and they asked this mostly corrupt body to tell the President to cut out the “absolute lies.” Coal miners at the American Energy Corp. Century Mine got together to say they want President Barack Obama to stop what they term the war on coal – and to stop spreading mistruths about them.
One thing I have learned by researching this topic is that coal miners mostly have a great sense of humor. They know that many will not believe their stories about how Obama is hurting their livelihoods and their opportunity for the future to make good wages in the coal mines. So, they offer these words to help seal the deal: “Well, that’s rather blunt and to the point, eh? But when it comes to the attitudes and experiences of hard working coal miners, who are you going to believe— The President or a bunch of sweaty, smelly guys in hard hats?”
The War on Natural Gas:
Obama loves to take credit for all of the gas being produced in the country today though he has fought its production and the methods used to make it a success. It is widely reported that in his second term Obama’s Interior Department will release a number of restrictive guidelines on the extraction (fracking) practice that may shut down this fledgling industry. They know that it would cost the President the election if the new regulations were announced today, so the Obama team has postponed these crippling rules until year’s end, conveniently after the election.
Almost 100,000 Pennsylvanians, who are working as a direct result of hydraulic fracturing of the Marcellus Shale, and another 200,000 indirectly employed will have their jobs in jeopardy when these harsh regulations are imposed. The same types of job losses will occur in Texas and other natural gas states. Nobody is interested in unsafe practices that put us all in peril but the Obama EPA simply hates anything that burns. They are more than willing to shut off all the energy taps in America to suit their ideological purposes.
The War on Gasoline:
Americans have been reminded through the 2012 gas crisis, which still lingers on, that our problems began on Jan. 20, 2009, when then Senator Barack Obama took the oath of office. At the time, the average price of gas at the pump was $1.85 per gallon. Now, in many parts of the country it is over $5.00 a gallon and the average is at least twice what it was in 2009. Americans that believe that Obama hates all fossil fuels and all cars that burn gasoline, know that if it were not for the coming election, President Obama would be tickled pink at the price of gasoline.
When Obama took over, his new Energy Chief, Dr. Steven Chu, announced proudly that it was his intention to drive up U.S. gasoline prices to the “European levels,” of at least $8 per gallon. Chu and Obama do not like gasoline powered cars and the plan still is to deny Americans cheap gasoline so we are forced to beg for electric vehicles. Americans have been hurt by this ideological thinking. Commuters, businesses that must deliver products, and seniors who make painful choices between driving to their doctor appointments and driving to church on Sunday morning are all suffering. Obama seems quite pleased that we cannot drive as much. The President has no problem limiting the freedom of Americans. However, since Americans love their freedoms, most Americans are not very happy with the President.
The War on Hydropower:
How can anybody be against Hydro-electric power? It is clean and renewable. It was the great accomplishment of Franklin D. Roosevelt, an Obama hero, whose policies helped create the infamous Hoover Dam and the Tennesee Valley Authority. Back in grade school, most Americans learned about and marveled at both of these two technology innovations. With the natural flow of water in rivers as the driving force, cheap electricity became the norm and it was brought to tens of millions of Americans who lived in rural areas. There is no pollution with hydro power. Sometimes we think they are kidding when ideologues boast about policies that will keep the US energy level strapped and at the mercy of foreign powers that hate US. Yet, the truth offers even more strange realities. President Obama’s Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Interior, Deanna Archuleta announced that there would never be another federal dam built in the United States. How is that for a “we give up” energy policy?
The War on Oil:
If you happen to be an oil and gas producer then you know that Secretary Chu does not like your industry. In fact he does not like the idea of a match being lit or a spark being ignited to fire up any type of energy fuel. Purists like Chu do not like anything that must burn to release its energy even if it helps make life better for humans. Like Chu, President Obama has no good will for any of the work the oil industry does for the nation. They are a well matched pair.
The President’s plan starts again in term 2. It lasts until we can finally figure out how to get rid of him. His plan is very similar to his plan for healthcare in his first term, and he surely hopes there will be no conservatives to block his way. Energy killing regulations such as cap and trade are ready to be launched. Many remember when one of the President’s EPA regional chiefs, Al Armendariz let the cat out of the bag on Obama plans. He told it like it is about the energy industry when he was overheard by skeptical conservative news outlets. Armendariz had proudly proclaimed his plan to “crucify the oil and gas companies.” He was forced to resign as one of the EPA’s major Gestapo Agents. Since most Americans are not fans of a Gestapo EPA, this would not stand. Unfortunately, Obama’s EPA has a lot more lieutenants and generals with a mindset like Armendariz to engage the energy war against the people.
If the corrupt press were not so overwhelmingly powerful and all Americans were able to come to grips with the fact that the media is in the tank and willingly lie for the Obama administration, consumers would be in control of our energy rather than the anti-American EPA. In the Obama war on energy, the people will prevail only by defeating of Obama.
If Americans do not win the energy game by electing Mitt Romney, the Chinese are the likely winners. Once the lights go out and our energy rights are gone, and we go to the Chinese for both cash and energy, the Chinese will literally have the last laugh. While Obama sleeps through national crises such as Libya or goes fundraising to maintain his posh lifestyle in the Whitehouse, the Chinese are always on duty, and they play to win the energy game.
The War on Healthcare:
The bottom line on Obama’s healthcare dictate is that it robs the people from their fundamental right of choice. It deprives US all from being able to adopt a plan, which we believe can best provide for our health and the health of our families. Family doctors share the same opinion as the people. Ask your doctor.
Moreover, though the Democratic Congress and the Obama Administration promised lower costs by at least $2500, if the Obamacare bill passed, personal costs have gone up over $2500 per family. People who worked for years in difficult jobs and who earned their right to healthcare are now finding that they will be forced to change to a less capable plan while those who did not work and did not plan, have received a great windfall at their expense.
Worse than that, because the government wants to control all healthcare options, it also wants to control all healthcare costs. This is another way of saying that the government does not have the money to pay the costs so they plan to pay less and thus reduce the costs. If only it were that simple. However, doctors and other healthcare providers have not decided to lower the charges necessary for them to break even and so the system is designed to break. When it breaks, the part of the plan that Obama does not want you to be talking about will be even more important. To reduce costs, healthcare will be rationed and you will be denied care, whether on Medicare or Obamacare. By the way, the plan is not to have one plan for seniors and one for everybody else. The plan of the future is simply Obamacare.
The Obama “death panel” is not a joke and the “whole lives system” has been formulated within the plan to make it tough for children under ten and adults over forty to get quality healthcare. By not addressing the fundamental needs of the health system, the Obama plan and its board of life and death decision makers will assure that there are less people needing healthcare. The easiest way to do that is to permit the young who have not yet cost the government much, and the elderly, who are about to cost the government lots of funds, to die. If Obama had stolen $716 Billion from Obamacare and given it to Medicare, then we would all know that he was in favor of helping older people live long lives.
But, he did not. He stole $716 Billion from the funds that Americans contributed for many years to Medicare. He took this money from seniors to pay for healthcare for those between 10 and 40, who never contributed to Medicare. This age group has been singled out by the “whole lives system,” to enjoy the benefits paid for by the elderly. Obama lies about being a friend that seniors can count on. And, he talks a good game so most believe him.
Soon Medicare will be under the Obamacare law in which all standards are set by bureaucrats, and all insurance policies must supply mandated services that are against the basic tenets of many religions. Forward thinking analysts see the issue of contraception as just the opening shot for Obama and his administration to soften up the opposition, and get seniors and the rest of US accustomed to losing healthcare battles with government bureaucrats. The government will win and the people will lose. Then what? The ultimate goal is rationing using the “whole lives system,” and the Obamacare “quality of life” guidelines, which see those in wheel chairs or with bad knees and hips as burdens of society, not as those who need special help.
This is the left’s way of mandatory elimination of “defective” babies any time from infancy to 95 years of age, and the sooner the better. The objective is for society to not bear the health costs of the very sick and infirm. Withholding care to botched abortion babies that survive and those in end-of-life situations will be a major means of saving the Obama government’s funds. Obama would love a third and fourth and fifth term so that his notion of government central planning as practiced in Europe and Asia during World War II and afterwards can be perfected in America. In this cost effective healthcare plan (Obamacare), services will be available only for those who can continue to contribute to society. Cost containment is the major objective. Moral issues will be forgotten since they are not important or “central” to a progressive government. God surely may be declared dead when this becomes reality, and it will be a long time before the people can expect God to be brought back.
